Ms. Crumb is a multidisciplinary environmental scientist trained in wetland, plant, and marine ecology; population genetics; and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As a master’s degree student at San Francisco State, Ms. Crumb received specialized training in aquatic systems including restoration work managed by the Romberg Tiburon Center aimed at increasing Eelgrass (Zostera marina) populations in the San Francisco Bay. As a project scientist with WWR, Ms. Crumb is responsible for tasks relating to wetland delineation, biological and botanical resources, tidal marsh restoration, and rare plant surveying. Esa is currently assisting with several projects including wetland delineation, rare plant surveys, and biological surveys for a large-scale wetland restoration project in Yolo County. She also compiled characterization data and special species status information for a Nature Conservancy Conservation Assessment for the Suisun Marsh. Ms. Crumb has experience surveying aquatic fauna including the native San Francisco Bay oyster as well as a variety of marine invertebrate and fish species. She also has experience conducting terrestrial faunal surveys and with animal trapping. Esa has additional training in wetlands classification and delineation following the recently updated California Arid West Supplement and has assisted with a NOAA funded 40-hour wetland training program held at the Elkhorn Slough Preserve in Watsonville, California.
