Project Description:
This project restored 1.85 acres of tidal salt marsh in response to an enforcement action by the Bay Conservation and Development Commission.
Description of Services Provided:
Dr. Siegel began this project in 1994 while employed at Levine-Fricke and, at the client’s request, continued with the project after starting Wetlands and Water Resources. In this latter capacity, Dr. Siegel provided the following services: construction oversight, post-construction monitoring of the restored wetland ecosystem (sedimentation rates, bird use, plant colonization, geomorphic evolution, and water levels), and regulatory compliance.
