Project Description: This project involves assisting the Yolo Bypass Working Group in developing a concept-level description of a “Westside” floodplain activation approach that yields floodplain and wetland benefits under moderate Yolo Bypass flooding conditions in a manner that maximizes agricultural land uses and provides greater water management tools for the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. WWR has been guiding the Working Group through articulation of goals and objectives and formulation of a concept-level project description that is based on their intricate knowledge of Yolo Bypass water management operations and that meets as many BDCP goals for the Bypass as possible.
