Megan Lipps is a multidisciplinary scientist whose formal education is based in environmental hydrology. Ms. Lipps has received training in topographic and fluvial channel surveying, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), trapping and identification of wetland fish species, and collections and laboratory analysis of water, soil, and vegetation samples. Much of Ms. Lipps’ restoration insight comes from work experience in heavily impacted grasslands and post-fire restoration research in the Santa Ynez Mountains of southern California. As a staff scientist with WWR, Ms. Lipps has contributed to topographic data collection, GIS hydrologic, topographic, ecologic, and biologic components analysis, post-restoration site monitoring, cartographic design, and CEQA editing for the Lower Yolo Restoration project, USFWS’ Tolay Creek and Lower Tubbs Island Marsh Enhancement Project, Suisun Marsh Characterization Report, and Delta Plan deliverables. As a recent addition to WWR, Ms. Lipps is responsible for a variety of tasks in support of wetland restoration planning and environmental investigation projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Region.
